Assistant Manager, Non Critical Business

Location based in Cyberjaya

This role is responsible to provide support in key strategic programs focusing to shape the Non-Critical Business (Non-Core Business) units to be effectively optimised and be in line with the Company's strategy. The key element of the strategy includes, but not limited to developing, monitoring, and executing actionable key strategies initiatives and insights function/business units. 
Responsibilities:
  • Execute strategic and transformation initiatives to elevate revenue generation, to improve cost structure, to develop new capabilities as well as to transform business operations, including strategic/project documentation, development and monitoring of plan, and coordination of meetings and discussions. 
  • Collaborate across functional and critical stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful delivery of key strategic programs and initiatives. 
  • Assist in coordinating and analyzing feedback gathered from internal stakeholders with regards to critical business units to provide value-added insights for the unit's consideration for improvements. 
  • Champion the Company's strategy and transformation culture through various engagements, collaborative sessions and communication targeted at all levels to build a customer-centric culture. 
  • Perform market and competitors research and report compilation. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of reports and regular updates of ongoing key strategic initiatives or projects and its respective results. 
  • Track performance to determine the progress of key strategic initiatives or projects timeline across function/business units. 
  • Support in administration role in pre-and post-meeting coordination to ensure smooth arrangement of meetings, a compilation of approval papers, reports, and preparations of meeting minutes (if any). 
  • Monitor and track departmental budget, expenses and reporting. 
  • Other projects/tasks are assigned from time to time. 
Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the airline or similar transportation or logistics industry. 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, both tactical and strategic in nature-achieving both time and budgetary deadlines.
  • Ability to work in both structured as well as ambiguous situations to drive outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint, all necessary for creation of both visually and verbally engaging analysis, reports and presentations, for the Company’s leadership, executives and relevant stakeholders. Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; other languages would be an advantage.
